About The Position

Creates and justifies engineering dispositions for nonconformances on composite and metallic, pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures. Covers all major aircraft components including Wing, Fuselage, and Empennage. Analyzes and rapidly designs structural repairs based on equivalent strength and stiffness of surrounding structure. Operates effectively in a production or schedule-driven environment. Uses Catia V5 for engineering design, modeling, and drawing review. Uses Solumina for manufacturing execution and work instruction systems. Uses SmarTeam for product lifecycle and PLM database management. Uses Corridor for work instruction authoring and manufacturing planning. Applies structures MRB engineering for nonconformance dispositions and repair design. Performs repair analysis and documentation for aerospace structural nonconformances.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 13 years dedicated Structures MRB Engineering experience at a recognized Aerospace Manufacturer.
Experience with composite and metallic aircraft structures.
Experience with pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures.
Experience with Wing, Fuselage, and Empennage components.
Ability to analyze and rapidly design structural repairs based on equivalent strength or stiffness.
Experience in a production or schedule-driven environment.
Computer literate in Catia V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Corridor, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Aircraft modification experience is a plus.
