About The Position

This role involves MIG welding of structural steel, finishing parts to meet specifications, and interpreting customer drawings. The ideal candidate will produce high-quality, error-free parts with precision, adhering to customer specifications. Responsibilities include reviewing travelers/prints to determine fabrication and welding needs, reading blueprints, tape measures, and calipers, and performing double-checks on parts before and after fabrication. The position requires the ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment, complete jobs within allotted timeframes, and possess strong communication and detail-oriented skills.

Requirements

Must have welding/fabricating experience.
At least 1 year of blueprint reading.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking with frequent pulling, pushing, lifting, & bending.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
All personal protective equipment must be worn where necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes, etc.)

Responsibilities

Utilize MIG for welding structural steel.
Finish parts (straighten, grind, polish, wipe down, etc.) per spec on print or lead’s instruction.
Read and interpret customer drawings.
Produce quality, error free parts with precision on customer specifications.
Review traveler/prints to determine what needs to be fabricated/welded.
Read blueprints, tape measure, and caliper.
Double check parts to spec before and after fabricating, then have another approved person check.
Be able to follow directions in a fast-paced environment while completing jobs in allotted time frames.
Have great communication skills and be detail oriented.
