About The Position

Walter P Moore seeks well-prepared engineering students to expand their education in structural engineering through its internship program. As an intern in the structural engineering group, you will participate on project teams working on architectural projects of many types, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. Interns are also eligible to participate in the company's in-house staff development program. The role offers flexible scheduling, with consistent availability of at least 20 hours per week expected.

Requirements

• A sound technical background.
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the challenges of designing great structures.
• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or completion of at least 24 hours of engineering coursework toward a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Accepted into or planning to apply to a graduate program in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Consistent availability for at least 20 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) credential preferred.

Responsibilities
