About The Position

Walter P Moore seeks well-prepared students from top engineering schools to expand their education in structural engineering through its internship program. As an engineering intern in the structural engineering group, you will participate on project teams working on architectural projects of varied types, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. Interns are also eligible to participate in the company’s in-house staff development program.

Requirements

• A sound technical background, strong communication skills, and enthusiasm for the challenges of designing great structures.
• A BS in Civil Engineering or completion of at least 24 hours of engineering coursework toward a BS in Civil Engineering.
• Acceptance into, or plans to apply to, a graduate program in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Consistent availability for a minimum of 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling.

Nice To Haves

• EIT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities
