About The Position

Becker Morgan Group is seeking a talented and driven Structural Engineering Intern. This internship provides students pursuing a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with hands-on experience in the design and analysis of structural systems. The intern will work closely with licensed engineers and project teams on projects across multiple sectors.

The role involves assisting with structural analysis and design, preparing drawings and construction documents, performing calculations, supporting field inspections, collaborating with project team members, and researching materials, methods, and industry trends. Interns gain practical experience in structural design and analysis, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities to build technical and professional skills while contributing to projects.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Structural or Civil Engineering degree program.
• Basic knowledge of structural engineering principles, building systems, and design standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration.
• Self-motivated attitude and commitment to learning.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structural systems.
• Prepare structural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools.
• Perform calculations to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.
• Support field inspections by documenting existing structures and ongoing construction.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to develop solutions for clients.
• Research materials, methods, and industry trends to support design development.
