Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Fitter.
• Ability to read and understand semi-complex fabrication blueprints.
• Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.
• Skill in laying out parts, holes, copes, and bevels.
• Ability to fit semi-complex assemblies with minimal errors.
• Proficiency in welding in flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G) positions.
• Understanding of heat distortion and prevention.
• Understanding of welding discontinuities, prevention, and repair.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in oxyfuel and plasma cutting processes.
• Ability to operate under strict deadlines.
• Possess leadership abilities.
• General understanding of heat cambering.

Responsibilities

• Follow ADF safety procedures and practices.
• Read and understand semi-complex fabrication blueprints.
• Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
• Identify all important symbols and dimensions on blueprints.
• Proficient in laying out parts, holes, copes, and bevels.
• Fit semi-complex assemblies with little to no errors.
• Proficient workflow management skills (planning for self and 2-3 others).
• Weld in the flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G) positions.
• Understands heat distortion and prevention.
• Understands types of welding discontinuities, prevention, and repair.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in oxyfuel and plasma cutting processes.
• Ability to operate under strict deadlines and possess leadership abilities.
