About The Position
A company with a reputation that goes back over 50 years is looking to add a Structural Engineer to their Chicago office!
Requirements
- Master's degree in civil engineering with a structural focus
- 6+ years of professional experience in structural design of buildings
- Experience in leading the technical design of structural projects
- SE professional registration
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Project management experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Project oversight (setting priorities/developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process)
- The ability to serve as a technical resource for less experienced engineers/designers
- Design/analyze structural systems for a variety of buildings and structural projects
- Coordinate between multiple disciplines and attend project coordination meetings
- Develop structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Contribute to QA/QC processes
- Mentor/train junior staff
