About The Position

The Structural Engineer will interface with clients, develop schematic and final designs, coordinate with in-house disciplines, and lead design efforts across various projects while mentoring staff. This role involves working on multiple project teams to successfully complete projects, developing designs through all project phases, and preparing studies, reports, and construction documents. The engineer will design building materials and systems, coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, and oversee drawing production, specifications, and documentation. Responsibilities also include coordinating with internal disciplines (MEP, etc.), conducting field surveys and site evaluations, performing construction administration (RFIs, submittals, inspections), managing budgets and schedules, and handling multiple simultaneous projects. The role requires collaboration with leadership on organizational goals, recommending new technologies and improvements, ensuring alignment with company vision and client expectations, performing IBC code reviews and establishing design criteria, reviewing shop drawings and preparing reports, and preparing AIA Masterspec documents and estimates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Required)
  • 4–6 years of structural engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (Required)
  • Experience with design, documentation, and project management tools
  • Revit experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Deep knowledge of engineering principles
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Technical writing proficiency
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work remotely and stay connected
