AECOM•Houston, TX
•$80,000 - $140,000•Hybrid

About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Houston, Texas, supporting ports and marine projects. The role involves maritime design and planning for container terminals, mining and bulk facilities, oil and gas, marinas, ports and harbors, and coastal defense and development schemes. Work includes applying maritime codes and standards such as USACE, PIANC, and OCIMF, and designing structures including wharves, piles, sheet piles, and dolphins across the United States. The engineer independently prepares engineering calculations and develops structural technical specifications, plans, and details. The role handles moderate portions of broader assignments, gathers and correlates basic engineering data, completes detailed or routine calculations and relatively simple tests, proposes solutions to new problems using established methods or modifications to them, and identifies discrepancies in results. The engineer provides guidance to entry-level engineers and performs work to agreed budgets and schedules with little supervision. Occasional short- to medium-term site visits may be required depending on project needs. U.S. citizenship is required. Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
