Structural Engineer III

Hargrove and Associates•Philadelphia, PA

About The Position

The Structural Engineer III performs complete designs for small and large civil/structural engineering assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods, under general supervision. The role develops layouts, cost studies, preliminary designs, material take-offs, detailed calculations, sketches, construction specifications, and other project deliverables. Designs should use construction materials efficiently, be straightforward to build, and meet client expectations. The engineer coordinates with drafting staff, design leaders, other engineers, vendors, and other disciplines; checks calculations and drawings; supports procurement and construction; and may lead small to medium teams in delivering civil/structural work to scope, schedule, and budget. Fieldwork may be required to collect data, check tie-ins, and provide construction support. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, structural coursework for structural roles, and at least three years of relevant industrial civil/structural engineering experience. Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
