About The Position

Responsible for the strategic development, implementation, operational oversight, and continuous evaluation of the organization's Stroke Program and related neuro care services. This role provides clinical and administrative leadership for a comprehensive, multidisciplinary stroke program focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered care across the full continuum-from emergency presentation through inpatient care, rehabilitation, and transition of care. Working collaboratively with the Stroke Program Medical Director, Emergency Department leadership, inpatient nursing and physician leadership, and ancillary services, the Stroke Program Manager ensures program excellence, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and continuous performance improvement. This role serves as the organizational expert in stroke care systems, quality measurement, and program outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN license.
  • Current Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS 30 days upon of hire and maintain current.
  • Knowledgeable on current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to facility and Stroke program.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows applications is required (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong working knowledge in data management, data analysis and quality improvement processes are required.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and core clinical systems are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field, preferred.
  • CNRN (“Certified Neuroscience RN”) or APRN (“Advanced Practice Registered Nurse”) preferred.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - preferred.
  • Five (5) years clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary health care setting which includes a minimum of two years of inpatient experience preferred.
  • After 6 months, knowledge in the care of stroke patients using the American Stroke Association Guidelines is required.
  • Certification in stroke care or related specialty preferred (e.g., SCRN, CPHQ, Lean, Six Sigma).
