About The Position

The primary requirements of the Strip Mill Operator are to properly blend and process compounds through the mill and batch-off within allowable specifications. This role offers growth potential within a team-oriented environment and a dynamic culture. The hours for this position are 10:45pm-7:00am.

Requirements

One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Willing to work overtime including weekends.
Close visual work required.
Knowledge of general computer skills.
Attention to detail.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.

Nice To Haves

High School or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Properly blend and process compounds through the mill and batch-off within allowable specifications.
Cut the rubber stock off the mill and lift it back up to band on the mill.
Pull a rubber strip(s) approximately 2 to 20 inches wide, from the mill and feed it onto the take-off belt located approximately three feet away.
Communicate with additional staff members.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Fill out two-roll safety checklist.
Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures.
