About The Position

Mercer Landmark is seeking a full-time Mill Operator for their Celina feed facility, working the 2nd shift. This role involves a variety of duties within the feed mill operation, including assisting in feed manufacturing, loading feed trucks, unloading ingredients, and operating a forklift.

Requirements

High motivation and ability to work independently.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Basic reading skills.
Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.
Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
Willingness and ability to perform manual work following instructions.
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
Understanding of the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
Ability to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

Some experience driving a forklift.
Some knowledge of the proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work.

Responsibilities

Operating WEM automation to produce animal feed.
Performing various tasks both inside and outside the facility.
Conducting daily housekeeping to maintain facility cleanliness.
Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining an orderly facility.
Providing excellent customer service to patrons, promoting the company and supporting their operations.
Performing other assigned work-related duties.
