Stress Engineer

Infosys•Wichita, KS

About The Position

As an Engineering Consultant 2, the Stress Engineer performs structural stress analysis for aerospace structures, including static, fatigue, and dynamic analyses. The role uses classical hand calculations and finite element methods to analyze primary and secondary structures, including metallic and composite components, and provides technical solutions from conceptual through detailed design stages. It also involves load extraction, engineering stress report preparation and review, and participation in reviews with clients, customers, and suppliers. The engineer interacts with customers to prepare scopes of work and define execution methodologies so project delivery meets customer requirements. The role also contributes to requirements definition, design development, prototype refinement, validation and simulation, technical integration, and documentation. The Infosys Engineering unit applies data-first approaches and technologies such as AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics to improve engineering delivery and time to market. The position may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
