About The Position

The Strengthening Families Coordinator provides support to the overall CUA team, focusing on improving the safety, permanency, and well-being of children, youth, and families. This role involves supporting community needs, developing and maintaining a network of key community leaders and stakeholders, and serving as the primary point of contact between the CUA and community members within the designated geographic region. The coordinator will support family and community outreach, promote CUA programs and services, and provide guidance to CUA leadership to address community issues and needs. This includes supporting the planning of community programming such as Parent Cafés, Parent Engagement Activities, and Training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field including but not limited to: Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Divinity, or Public Health
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a position that involves working in child, youth, and family serving systems
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in an unrelated field require a minimum of 3 years experience working in child, youth, and family serving systems
  • Ability to use computers with proficient skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of child and family service systems
  • Knowledge of social work values and/or child welfare services
  • Valid Driver’s License (issued by state in which employee lives) and safe driving record and proof of insurance coverage

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support family and community outreach.
  • Promote the programs and services offered by the CUA.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to CUA leadership to help address the unique issues, concerns, and needs of the community.
  • Support the planning of community programming, such as: Parent Cafés, Parent Engagement Activities and Training.
  • Consistent implementation of Parent Cafés, Strengthening Families trainings, and workshops with strong family participation.
  • Effective recruitment and support of facilitators and Parent Café hosts.
  • Strong community linkages established, expanding partnerships with schools, providers, and local organizations.
  • Increased visibility and engagement of programs through social media and outreach platforms.
  • Timely, detailed reporting on program outcomes, family engagement, and community partnerships.
  • Strengthened ability to prepare reports and data summaries for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Families report feeling more connected, empowered, and supported through CUA resources.
  • Willingness to deepen their expertise in family engagement models, facilitation, and program coordination.
  • Willingness to build professional confidence in training others, leading community events, and managing partnerships.
  • Consistently expanding skills in social media outreach, community relations, and public communication.
  • Ongoing professional growth toward leadership roles within Prevention & Intervention, Community Engagement, or Family Services.
