As a Family Strengthening Program Manager you will give unsupported and isolated families more stability to get through hard times. As part of our Bethany team, you’ll help parents connect with community resources and build support networks to keep their families together and their children out of foster care. By strengthening families before crisis hits, you’ll help them stay where they belong— together.

Requirements

  • MSW or Master’s level degree in Human Services, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college
  • At least three (3) years of experience working in a child and family welfare agency
  • At least one (1) year of experience supervising others and a team
  • Must have an ability to provide and/or obtain professional licensure or registration in the state of the work location
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical, therapeutic and crisis intervention skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state, community, and agency resources
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity

Responsibilities

  • Direct, lead, and/or develop all direct reports within the Intact Services program
  • Oversee the comprehensive case management process from intake to case closure
  • Provide weekly individual and team supervision to staff, and meet with the Branch Director regularly
  • Ensure all case recording expectations satisfy state, licensing and contract requirements, agency requirements, and COA standards
  • Meet regularly with supervisory staff to review cases and case status to ensure that quality assessments, service planning, and delivery occur
  • Attend staff meetings to ensure effective and efficient service coordination
  • Build and cultivate a cohesive team and maintain positive staff morale
  • Ensure effective operations through selection, training and orientation of new staff
  • Manage vacation schedules to ensure adequate coverage and availability of services
  • Ensure program operations and services are consistent with the established agency, state, federal, and licensing standards and requirements
  • Work directly with DCFS and partner agencies to ensure services are carried out in accordance with policy and contractual requirements
  • Ensure agency policies and procedures are enforced through completion of staff evaluations, conference request, time sheets and reimbursement vouchers
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop positive relationships with referral sources, community agencies, and community progressions
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and theories related to the program, while proactively recommending changes to agency policy and practice, as necessary
  • Maintain programming in accordance with DCFS policies and procedures
  • Ensure that outcome measures of DCFS and other contracts are met in a timely and effective manner
  • Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department
  • May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event
  • Complete other duties as assigned
