About The Position

As the Children and Families Program Coordinator, you will direct and deliver inclusive, engaging, and relevant programs that meet the needs of children and families in the community. You will coach and lead a group of like-minded, service focused individuals to ensure all members have a positive experience in a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

1-2 years’ experience supervising employees or volunteers
2-4 years’ experience in program delivery
Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
Proven leadership abilities
Strong customer service, time management, communication and problem solving/decision making skills
Strong administration skills, (computer, budgets, database usage)

Nice To Haves

Experience working with youth from diverse and underserved communities
Post-secondary education in a related field

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver children and families programs and services emphasizing fun, fitness, skill development, physical literacy, health and well-being
Instruct and provide leadership to a variety of children and families programs and services including gymnastics, day camp and family events
Act as a mentor and provide support, coaching, motivational leadership and professional development opportunities for others to learn and grow
Monitor staff certifications, create reports and program statistics
Bi-weekly scheduling and payroll administration
