This position supports Safe Families for Children (SFFC), a national, evidence-based child abuse prevention program operating in 150 cities and 30 states. SFFC surrounds families in crisis with caring, trained volunteers who provide short-term hosting for children, mentoring parents, and concrete support while parents stabilize. The Family Coach provides day-to-day leadership, coordination, and direct support for families engaged in the Safe Families for Children program. This position ensures children, parents, volunteers, and church partners experience safe, consistent, trauma-informed, and relationship-centered care through Safe Families' network of volunteers. This role combines direct support for families and/or young adults, case management, volunteer coaching, host home screening, and community relationship-building. This position may flex to include additional duties based on program needs and seasonal demands. The role also supports the development of volunteer Family Coaches through training and onboarding new volunteers, while offering continued coaching, encouragement, and support to active volunteers serving families.
