About The Position

Strategic Resources, Inc. (SRI) is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC) to support the U.S. Army Reserve's (USAR) Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System. The H2F System aims to improve Soldier readiness, resilience, and deployability. The SCC will be part of an interdisciplinary H2F Performance Team, primarily located at Fort Shafter Flats, Honolulu, Hawaii, with travel throughout the Pacific region. The role involves developing and delivering physical readiness programs to enhance Soldier performance, reduce injury risk, and support mission readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Current Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
  • Current BLS/CPR with AED certification.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience within the last four years designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for tactical populations or collegiate/professional athletic teams.
  • Must be capable of properly lifting and manipulating loads up to 45 pounds.
  • Must be capable of training with and observing Soldiers in varied weather, rough terrain, and austere environments.
  • Must maintain all required professional certifications throughout employment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel regularly within CONUS and OCONUS locations, including locations throughout the Pacific region.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance/Tier 3 eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support command-specific Physical Readiness Training Programs and Special Conditioning Programs.
  • Design and implement comprehensive, periodized strength and conditioning programs.
  • Align physical readiness programming with Army Fitness Test requirements and unit Mission Essential Task Lists.
  • Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques, movement, safety, and injury-risk mitigation.
  • Develop scalable physical training templates, exercise demonstration materials, and resources for units with limited equipment.
  • Assist Soldiers and leaders in improving physical readiness and overall human performance.
  • Coordinate with Athletic Trainers and unit medical personnel to support appropriate reconditioning programs for Soldiers returning from injury.
  • Coach and assist H2F Integrators and Master Fitness Trainers.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on instruction to improve unit-level physical training.
  • Participate in field training, Battle Assemblies, Annual Training, and other Army Reserve training events.
  • Travel to supported Army Reserve locations throughout the Pacific region as required.
