About The Position

D1 is an athletic-based group training facility serving adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up. Its mission is to provide an effective fitness philosophy and facility that empowers athletes to reach their fitness goals. D1 Coaches put this training philosophy into practice, adapting and customizing workouts to individual athletes and monitoring their progress. Coaches help fulfill D1’s promise: “You pick the goal, we help you get there.” The Coach helps improve the lives of D1 members, including youth ages 7–18, adults, and teams. The role involves creating a positive and motivating environment, providing high-quality coaching and customer service, building relationships with members, and delivering guidance on strength, speed, and nutrition while prioritizing safety and proper technique.

Requirements

Valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
At least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA.
Minimum of 1 year of strength and conditioning-related experience in a group, team, or personal training setting.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

Foster a positive, motivating environment for athletes and adults.
Maximize client retention through coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
Modify and adapt movements to suit each individual.
Reduce athletes’ risk of injury by focusing on proper technique and movement patterns.
Start and finish workouts on time.
Assess members and align them with the appropriate program.
Build and maintain relationships with D1 members.
Coach group workouts, personal training, and teams.
Provide accurate educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition.
Teach proper form and technique and keep athletes and adults safe.
