About The Position

Centaris, a leading IT service provider with approximately 170 team members and five regional offices, is seeking a Strategic Technology Consultant to guide clients’ technology strategy and business outcomes. The role serves as a trusted strategic advisor to assigned clients, helping align technology investments and services with business goals. The position is hybrid, and candidates must reside in Michigan.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience.
At least 5 years of progressive client-facing experience in a managed services, consulting, or strategic IT environment.
Demonstrated success owning executive-level client relationships and presenting at the C-suite or owner level.
Strong technical knowledge, including cybersecurity and compliance, client information best practices, and the ability to align IT systems with business objectives.
At least 2 years of experience with the ConnectWise platform.
At least 2 years of experience utilizing AI and automation tools.
At least 2 years of experience or training in cybersecurity and/or Microsoft tools such as Defender/Purview and SentinelOne.
Experience facilitating Strategic Business Reviews, Annual IT Planning, and budget presentations.
Ability to explain technical concepts in terms of business objectives.
Strong client-service orientation and ability to build trusted, consultative relationships.
Excellent executive-level communication, facilitation, and relationship-management skills.
Sound strategic judgment and ability to balance client needs, technical considerations, operational realities, and business priorities.
Strong coaching and leadership skills.
Must reside in Michigan.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary strategic point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned clients, ensuring alignment between client business goals and Centaris services.
Lead Strategic Business Reviews, including the Annual IT Planning and Budget session.
Prepare and present annual IT budgets and multi-year roadmaps, advising on technology solutions, cost optimization, and future investment planning.
Own the execution and oversight of initiatives in clients’ roadmaps.
Serve as an escalation point for assigned clients, providing root cause analysis, incident response, IT Quality process support, executive communication, and resolution direction for high-stakes issues.
Assess client business requirements and lead the development and presentation of tailored solutions and detailed quotes.
Participate in change control, manage client to-dos, and maintain account documentation, including roadmaps, Relational Touchpoints, meetings, opportunities, and executive summaries.
Build in-depth knowledge of clients’ core business applications.
