Reporting to the Lead Product Manager of Operation Technology, the Strategic Partnerships Senior Product Manager owns product for Gifthealth's most important external commercial relationship with a lead pharmaceutical manufacturer. This role bridges partner needs, Gifthealth’s platform, and what must be built. It owns partner requirements, converts ambiguous requests into engineering-ready specifications, manages the working relationship, and protects internal teams from unvetted input. Success requires real product judgment, diplomatic pushback, and the credibility to serve as a trusted counterpart to a sophisticated external partner. We are seeking a Strategic Partnerships Senior Product Manager to support the product team in serving our key client’s needs. This position plays a critical role in serving as a trusted counterpart to a sophisticated external partner, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, design, or related field OR equivalent practical experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in product management, product strategy, or product marketing
  • Demonstrated experience at the commercial–product boundary with enterprise or partner-driven requirements
  • Track record of holding high-stakes external stakeholder relationships at the working level
  • Experience writing real specifications (engineering-ready requirements with edge cases and acceptance criteria)
  • Knowledge of commercial product management at the enterprise/partner boundary
  • Knowledge of requirements writing for enterprise or partner-driven workstreams (not just internal roadmap)
  • Knowledge of healthcare or pharma industry (patient access, market access, how pharma manufacturers think about partnerships)
  • Knowledge of external stakeholder relationship management at the working level
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to write structured requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, open questions, and engineering -ready output)
  • Ability to run working-level meetings with demanding external partners (cadences, follow-through, status communication)
  • Ability to exercise diplomacy and seek mutually beneficial outcomes with external stakeholders
  • Ability to sit in open-ended, vague conversations with external stakeholders and leave with enough structure to write a specification
  • Ability to earn trust quickly with a sophisticated, demanding partner
  • Ability to protect internal teams from unvetted, unstructured input without damaging the external relationship
  • Ability to represent Gifthealth credibly in high-stakes external meetings without escalation
  • Ability to utilize AI tools for requirements work, mockups, and lightweight prototyping

  • Experience managing requirements for a pharma manufacturer partnership (patient support programs, hub services, or access programs)
  • Commercial PM, product marketing, or solutions experience
  • Digital pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or patient access programs
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer hub services, patient support programs, specialty access programs and digital pharmacy or specialty pharmacy workflows
  • Ability to build lightweight prototypes or mockups to demonstrate solutions to external partners
  • Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-moving requirements pipeline
  • Commercial product or GTM experience (product marketing, solutions, commercial PM) skills
  • Ability to identify scalable platform patterns across partner requirements that suggest long-term investment rather than one-off builds
  • Ability to use AI to ship something lightweight that closes a loop or validates a direction quickly

Responsibilities

  • Owns requirements intake from the partner; triaging, clarifying, and documenting all incoming needs before they reach internal teams
  • Translates ambiguous partner requirements into precise, engineering-ready specifications with context, acceptance criteria, and trade-offs
  • Holds the partnership at the working level — regular cadences, status communication, proactive escalation, mutual accountability
  • Surfaces patterns across the partnership and recommends platform investments vs. one-off builds
  • Collaborates with product, engineering, and commercial teams, serving as the trusted advisor for all stakeholders
