Strategic Finance Manager
About The Position
The Strategic Finance Manager works across all functional areas of Centric Brands and reports directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance. The role develops complex, dynamic, integrated financial models and project analyses to support organizational decision-making and strategic planning. It offers the opportunity to assess financial scenarios that help direct the organization’s strategic course while building a broad corporate finance skill set. The position also supports executive and Board-level reporting, financial planning, M&A and licensing transactions, joint ventures, and assessments of returns for lenders and investors. It involves interaction with senior executives, including the CFO and CEO.
Requirements
- Strong qualitative and analytical skills.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to write effectively.
- Desire to work in a team environment, often under tight deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance.
- At least 2 years of work experience in corporate finance.
- Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, finance, data analytics, or mathematics.
Nice To Haves
- Previous investment banking experience is strongly preferred.
- Has, or is considering pursuing, a CFA.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and enhance comprehensive financial models that support strategic decision-making.
- Develop detailed and sensitized business plans and long-range forecasts.
- Prepare financial analyses and outputs for Executive and Board-level presentations.
- Assist in assessing and executing M&A transactions, license acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Analyze and review credit and other legal governing documents.
- Evaluate financial returns to current and potential lenders and investors.
- Attend key sessions with high-level executives, including direct interaction with the CFO and CEO.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting materials for the Board of Directors and shareholders.
