Strategic Finance Associate

Corgi InsuranceSalt Lake City, UT
$135,000 - $180,000Remote

About The Position

Corgi is a full-stack insurance carrier building better, faster insurance products for startups. We underwrite and issue policies directly, with fewer handoffs and less friction. Cutting out intermediaries lets us tailor coverage to how companies actually operate and price risk more efficiently. We form and operate insurance companies from the ground up, using AI and software to automate the workflows traditionally handled by large teams of brokers, underwriters, TPAs, accountants, and operations staff. Our goal is not to incrementally improve insurance, it is to rebuild the industry infrastructure itself. We move quickly, care deeply about talent density, and hire people who want to solve difficult problems with unusually high ownership. We’re hiring a Strategic Finance Associate to help build and scale finance at Corgi. This is not a traditional FP&A role where you update spreadsheets and sit in meetings all day. You’ll work directly with leadership on the financial and operational questions that matter most, from forecasting and company planning to underwriting performance, growth investments, and strategic decision-making. You should be excited to dive into messy problems, learn quickly, and use finance as a tool to drive decisions. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, highly curious, and wants exposure to company-building.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and figuring things out independently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas simply.
  • Curious, low-ego, and excited to learn.
