About The Position

The Strategic Campaigns Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of organization-wide campaigns, ensuring each campaign is aligned with Islamic Development and Empowerment in America (IDEA)'s organizational priorities, objectives, brand strategy, and donor engagement goals. Working under the direction of the Assistant Director, Events & Strategic Campaigns, this position will serve as the central project manager for assigned campaigns, translating organizational and cross-departmental priorities into clear campaign plans, timelines, deliverables, and measurable outcomes. The Strategic Campaigns Manager will work closely with Marketing, Fund Development, Programs, and other key stakeholders to ensure campaign messaging, creative assets, event priorities, and implementation are coordinated across departments and delivered on schedule. Primary campaigns include Ramadan, Qurbani, End-of-Year, Food Truck, Emergency Appeals, and other future national event initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in campaign planning, digital marketing or project coordination.
  • Ability to design and map comprehensive campaign roadmaps that meet organizational objects.
  • Well organized and can multi-task with ease.
  • Expertise in strategic planning and execution.
  • Advanced analytical skills to evaluate opportunities using data, trends and tools to measure each campaign’s effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office suites (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive campaign strategies and implementation plans for assigned national and organization-wide campaigns under the direction of the Assistant Director, Events & Strategic Campaigns.
  • Serve as the project manager and central point of coordination for assigned campaigns, ensuring objectives, responsibilities, timelines, deliverables, and deadlines are clearly established and tracked.
  • Translate organizational and Fund Development priorities into actionable campaign plans, themes, messaging priorities, initiatives, and engagement strategies.
  • Serve as the primary campaign liaison with Marketing, communicating campaign objectives, audiences, messaging priorities, creative needs, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Work closely with Marketing throughout the campaign development process to ensure creative assets, digital content, advertising, email, social media, web content, and other campaign materials align with campaign strategy and event objectives.
  • Develop detailed campaign calendars and timelines, coordinating key milestones and dependencies across Marketing, Fund Development, Programs, and other participating departments.
  • Lead and facilitate cross-departmental campaign planning meetings, document action items, assign and track deliverables, and follow up with stakeholders to maintain progress and accountability.
  • Ensure campaign plans incorporate relevant Program priorities, organizational messaging, event needs, donor audiences, and leadership direction.
  • Maintain consistency in campaign messaging, themes, calls to action, donor communications, and overall campaign presentation across channels and departments.
  • Coordinate with Programs and relevant stakeholders to gather accurate project information, impact stories, beneficiary information, campaign priorities, and other content needed to support campaigns.
  • Partner with Fund Development teams to understand donor trends, department priorities, audience needs, and opportunities for engagement, incorporating these insights into campaign planning.
  • Establish and track campaign KPIs, departmental performance, engagement metrics, and key deliverables, providing regular progress and performance updates to the Assistant Director and relevant leadership.
  • Review campaign data and results to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement and use findings to inform future campaign strategy and planning.
  • Conduct post-campaign evaluations and coordinate debriefs with participating departments to document outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Research relevant trends, audience behaviors, opportunities, and external influences that may impact campaign strategy or donor engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for new campaign concepts, event initiatives, partnerships, and donor engagement strategies and present recommendations to the Assistant Director.
  • Support the development of campaign-related speaker and influencer strategies, including identifying potential individuals who can strengthen campaign reach and engagement, while coordinating high-level outreach with the Assistant Director as appropriate.
  • Maintain organized campaign documentation, project plans, calendars, reports, meeting notes, and performance records to support accountability and institutional knowledge.
  • Ensure campaigns are implemented in accordance with IDEA policies, brand standards, organizational priorities, and established approval processes.
  • Provide regular campaign status reports, risks, recommendations, and performance updates to the Assistant Director.
  • Travel as needed to support major campaign launches, organizational initiatives, or other strategic campaign priorities.
