Strategic Accounts Associates support selling efforts to key customers by performing various duties. This role involves customer service order entry, sales support tasks such as client research and meeting preparations, direct communication with customers to understand their goals and project requirements, and responding to customer RFQs by communicating Irby capabilities and determining competitive price levels. The associate will support the overall Strategic Accounts selling effort from a corporate perspective, practice good interpersonal relations, handle customer difficulties with diplomacy, and continuously develop technical knowledge of merchandise to assist customers and company personnel. They will determine the make, type, and quality of merchandise desired, identify and utilize appropriate pricing systems, communicate with customers to receive orders, describe or demonstrate products, solicit sales of new or additional products, prepare lists of prospective customers, and provide support with quotations or estimates of prices, terms, and delivery. The associate will also perform other special projects or duties as assigned.
