About The Position

This is a high-impact role for a relationship-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of customer engagement, business strategy, and operational excellence. As an Account Manager, you will develop and strengthen relationships with both new and existing customers through personalized interaction and strategic partnership. Your primary focus will be identifying opportunities that support profitable growth while ensuring PCC Schlosser remains a valued partner on critical customer programs. Serving as the primary customer contact and account manager, you will collaborate closely with customers and internal teams across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations to identify sales opportunities, resolve challenges, and develop strategies that maximize market share, customer satisfaction, and long-term profitability.

Requirements

  • Background in sales, marketing, account management, or a related field, preferably within a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills strongly preferred.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret market information to support forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as business needs require (minimal travel expected).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in account management, sales, customer relations, manufacturing, aerospace, or a comparable business environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through written correspondence.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer, keyboard, telephone, and related technology.

  • Understanding of investment casting processes and manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new product and process opportunities and develop pricing strategies to secure new business and drive profitable growth.
  • Interface with customer purchasing and engineering organizations to gather market intelligence regarding competitors, industry activity, quality matters, and commercial opportunities.
  • Coordinate with PCC and customer Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other functional teams to support the development of new customer programs and business opportunities.
  • Prepare customer proposals and support new business pursuits.
  • Serve as a key liaison between customers and PCC Schlosser regarding production schedules, commitments, and delivery performance.
  • Attend customer meetings and provide timely communication and status updates.
  • Function as the contract administrator for customer-related issues, including delivery concerns, accounts receivable matters, purchase order changes, and other account activities.
  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and problem-solving.
  • Assist in resolving master scheduling and customer requirement conflicts, including scrap replacements, schedule changes, and customer rescheduling requests.
  • Maintain alignment between backlog requirements and production commitments.
  • Continuously monitor sales and operations planning activities, master schedules, customer order backlogs, and manufacturing capacity to identify trends, risks, forecast variances, and changing customer needs.
  • Expedite parts and coordinate resources as necessary to support customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Review engineering changes and tooling rework requests with plant personnel to identify impacts and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate customer requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • Collect and provide market and customer intelligence to support forecasting, long-term planning, and business strategy development.
  • Monitor market trends and customer activity to help position PCC Schlosser for future growth opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects assigned.
