Strategic Account Manager, Institutional Partnerships

Golden Limousine InternationalMilan, MI
$55,000 - $65,000Onsite

About The Position

Golden Limousine International is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Account Manager to serve as the primary owner of a major institutional client relationship. This is a strategic, client-facing role — not an operations or reservations role. You will be the face of Golden Limousine International to your client's stakeholders, responsible for the health, depth, and growth of the relationship, while working closely with leadership on broader account strategy and expansion. Day-to-day reservations, dispatch, and operational execution are handled by our dedicated Reservations and Operations teams — this role is free to focus entirely on the client relationship and the business opportunity within it. This is a relationship-first role: success comes from deep client trust, sharp business instincts, and the ability to uncover opportunity inside an account others might overlook.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in hospitality, travel, institutional sales, account management, or a related client-facing field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow relationships with senior-level and multi-stakeholder clients.
  • Exceptional customer service instincts, with a genuine passion for getting the details right.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with senior-level contacts.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent priorities and relationships.
  • Working knowledge of the hospitality, travel, or institutional/event services industry.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and CRM software; quick to learn new systems.
  • Strong analytical and sourcing instincts, with a keen eye for untapped opportunity.
  • A calm, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving and managing client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the assigned institutional account, ensuring consistent, high-touch service and client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders — including department administrators, event planners, and procurement contacts.
  • Understand the client's operating calendar, seasonal patterns, and recurring needs well enough to anticipate opportunities before they arise.
  • Proactively identify new departments, business units, or programs within the existing institutional relationship that represent untapped transportation needs.
  • Map the client's organizational structure to uncover additional decision-makers and buying centers beyond the current point of contact.
  • Partner with leadership to translate these opportunities into a coordinated account expansion strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service usage within the account, including upselling and cross-selling additional services.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing structures in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Develop and execute strategies to strengthen the relationship year-over-year and protect against competitive risk.
  • Provide regular reporting and insight to leadership on account health, volume trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leadership as the lead relationship owner, contributing account-level insight to broader company strategy.
  • Maintain availability for evening and weekend work aligned with the client's event calendar, with occasional travel as needed.
