About The Position

The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, Indiana, is hiring a Stores Controller to ensure materials are available for assembly consumption. The role focuses on ordering parts for assembly lines and moving materials to the line using a stand-up fork truck. It also involves labeling parts, maintaining inventory accuracy, entering orders and interplant material movements into a computer system, and communicating potential material shortages to procurement and assembly operations to help avoid production impacts. The position is on second shift, from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Requirements

At least 2 years of stand-up fork truck experience.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Self-motivated and safety-conscious, with the ability to work independently.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
Ability to bend and twist at the waist and squat.
Ability to stand on concrete for more than 8 hours.
Consistent use of required personal protective equipment for the task being performed.
