About The Position

At Portland General Electric (PGE), employees help plan and realize a smarter, cleaner, more enduring Oregon. The Storeroom position is based at the Salem Operations Center and is responsible for pulling and organizing inventory to fulfill work orders while maintaining inventory organization and accuracy. The listed starting pay is $27.63 per hour, and the hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PGE operates as a public service requiring continuous operation. Assisting with storms or other company emergencies is part of all positions. During the probationary period following reassignment to any job, at least two progress reports will be completed and discussed with the employee by their immediate supervisor. Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Acquire PGE forklift certification within six months of the start date and maintain it.
Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

At least three years of inventory or warehouse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work safely.
Keep stock properly labeled; receive, check, and sort material in the storeroom.
Issue and return material, supplies, and tools.
Use hand tools to assemble and disassemble materials.
Sort, recondition, and restock material in the salvage area.
Operate vehicles such as forklifts, small trucks, and pickups.
Enter inventory transaction data into the PGE Inventory Management System.
Maintain general housekeeping in the storeroom and yard.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assist with storms or other company emergencies.
