About The Position

The Storeroom Attendant maintains inventory records for supplies, tools, and equipment and keeps required stock quantities available. The role locates and distributes parts, updates inventory records, helps identify substitutions when parts are unavailable, and orders materials to replenish stock. The attendant also receives, labels, and locates incoming goods; maintains shelf-life items; assists with transfers between facilities; and keeps the storeroom clean and orderly. The position works with maintenance during plant shutdowns.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification to operate a Bendi narrow-aisle reach truck.
Accuracy.
Proficient computer skills, including the ability to update and maintain computer inventory records.
Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact with customers and identify their needs and preferences.
Ability to obtain or maintain a Reach Truck Operators License.
Ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to ascend or descend ladders and stairs.

Responsibilities

Locate and distribute parts from authorized, signed requisitions.
Maintain the location database.
Update records for supplies and materials received and dispensed.
Help identify substitutions when parts are unavailable.
Run and review received reports for accuracy.
Order materials needed to restock the storeroom and maintain minimum inventory levels.
Prepare replenishment requisitions for consignments, repairs, and other needs.
Conduct cycle counts.
Label and locate daily receipts of incoming goods.
Date and label shelf-life items and issue them using the LIFO method.
Assist with transfers of storeroom items between sister facilities.
Keep the storeroom clean and orderly.
Create labels requested by the plant.
Work with maintenance during plant shutdowns.
