About The Position

SDI is hiring a full-time, onsite Storeroom Attendant in Chicago, Illinois, at a stated pay rate of $19–$21 per hour. Storeroom Attendants support clients by receiving, storing, and distributing products while providing customer service. They pick and issue parts, check incoming orders, place materials in their assigned storage locations, maintain inventory counts, document transactions, notify customers when parts are received, alert buyers to out-of-stock items, and deliver parts as needed. The role is in an industrial environment where employees may be exposed to heat, noise, and dirt.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unaided; higher weights may be handled using equipment such as pallet jacks.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Willingness to work in an industrial environment where heat, noise, and dirt may be present.
Willingness to cross-train in storeroom responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Warehouse, customer service, and/or storeroom experience preferred.
ERP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Pick and issue parts to the client.
Receive and review parts to confirm the client receives what was ordered.
Place received materials in the correct storage locations and maintain detailed inventory counts.
Accurately document transactions and notify the customer when parts are received.
Communicate with the client and provide customer service.
Notify the buyer of items that are out of stock.
Deliver parts as needed.
Cross-train in storeroom responsibilities.
