About The Position

At Wegmans, Store Shoppers support the company’s curbside pickup service by using an app and company-issued technology to communicate with customers, shop their grocery orders, and stage orders for pickup. The role involves accurately and efficiently selecting items, handling and bagging products appropriately, making substitutions, and processing payments. Shoppers maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace and may also perform other customer service duties in the store, including operating a register. The role is part time and pays $16.50 per hour. Shifts are available in the morning and afternoon, include weekends, and may start as early as 6 a.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery, or retail setting.
Ability to use a company-issued device to manage orders and communicate with customers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Use technology to communicate with customers and fulfill their orders.
Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders and stage them in the fulfillment area.
Handle products properly, including bagging items appropriately for customers.
Make appropriate substitutions as needed and process payments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace.
Perform other customer service duties within the store as needed, potentially including running a register.
