About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to provide customer service and support store operations. The role includes cash handling and accounting, stocking and displaying merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness and safety, and supporting deli food sales and cooking. The position also involves outdoor upkeep and completing assigned duties as directed by management.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and handle cash and accounting tasks.
Operate a computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
Remember regular customers, answer and screen phone calls, monitor the store, detect shoplifting, and listen to and handle customer complaints.
Stock shelves and coolers; price, rotate, and display merchandise; and complete shift work and vendor check-in procedures accurately.
Clean and maintain all areas of the store, including outdoor areas, and support store safety and security.
Complete the protocol system and drive-off controls, and advise the store manager of situations or policy violations that adversely affect store operating performance.
Sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, and fill water and cleaning-solution buckets on islands.
Keep hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
Perform deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
Complete other duties assigned by management.
