About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Manager to oversee store operations and provide excellent customer service. The manager makes supervisory decisions in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures; helps plan and lead efforts related to expenses, sales, margins, shortage controls, promotions, and competitor monitoring; and maintains store assets, cash, fuel, inventory, and labor. The role also involves employee hiring, training, orientation, and discipline, as well as ordering and merchandising products, completing daily computer-based records, maintaining the store, making bank deposits, and performing light cleaning and basic repairs. The Store Manager is expected to set an exemplary example of professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and convenience store operations. Compensation is $50,000 or more annually, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, communicate with customers, resolve complaints and inquiries, fill in for absent employees, and answer and screen telephone calls.
• Make supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with planning, leadership, organizing, and follow-up related to controllable expenses, sales increases, inside gross margin, shortage controls, promotional programs, and competitor monitoring.
• Complete daily bookwork using a computer to record employee, inventory, and sales information.
• Maintain security of store assets and control cash, fuel, inventory, merchandise, and labor hours.
• Hire, train, and orient new employees; discipline or terminate problem employees.
• Order supplies and merchandise; inventory, invoice, and key in daily sales; and merchandise products by receiving, pricing, stocking, displaying, and rotating inventory.
• Complete store maintenance and basic repairs, make bank deposits, and perform light cleaning of the store and restrooms.
• Set an exemplary example for co-workers in professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and convenience store operations.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
