About The Position

The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations of a retail store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising execution, expense and inventory management, team training and development, human resources management, and outstanding customer service. The role oversees store staff and performance, manages budgets and operating standards, and works to achieve revenue, cost, and shrink goals. A standard work week is a minimum of 46 hours. The schedule is flexible and includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The manager must be willing to work in multiple stores in the assigned district and travel by car, plane, or train.

Requirements

At least one year of retail management experience.
Solid knowledge of business and excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, associates, and customers.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
Ability to think strategically and plan and organize effectively.
Professionalism in all situations.
Proficient analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, solve administrative problems, and prioritize work.
Results-driven, with critical and creative thinking, project management, time management, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and use independent judgment, compassion, and diplomacy.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel by car, plane, or train.

Responsibilities

Oversee the quality and performance of retail store staff.
Analyze and measure business trends to maximize revenue and control costs at or better than plan.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Model effective leadership to gain commitment to store goals and training standards.
Recruit, select, train, and develop store personnel.
Conduct annual performance evaluations for store employees.
Manage expenses and develop strategies to achieve budgeted performance.
Monitor and address loss or inventory inconsistencies to meet company shrink goals.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Identify market conditions and merchandise opportunities and communicate relevant information to the District Manager.
Uphold customer service standards and provide customers with a friendly environment and outstanding service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
