About The Position

The Store Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing staff, finding new ways to improve sales, and meeting customer demands. This role requires strong judgment, initiative, and drive, with an aptitude for organizing tasks, managing time, and prioritizing projects. The position demands reliability, responsibility, dependability, and attention to detail in completing work tasks. The Store Manager is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving store objectives, while also managing employee turnover and fostering a positive working environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Positive attitude when working with customers.
  • Knowledge of employment practices.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.
  • Excellent Storis knowledge.
  • 5-10 years of management experience required.
  • Knowledge of employment, merchandise handling, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service to ensure customer retention.
  • Handle customer requests and complaints professionally.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming store environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to achieve store objectives.
  • Effectively manage employee turnover and provide a positive working environment.
  • Handle employee issues appropriately.
  • Conduct sales meetings and manage/motivate sales teams to increase sales and efficiency.
  • Respond to customer complaints and comments.
  • Regularly tour the sales floor and warehouse to identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide work direction and resolve staff questions.
  • Coordinate workflow.
  • Maintain effective cost control measures to ensure store profitability.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the showroom and warehouse.
  • Maximize profitability and meet sales targets.
  • Monitor employee schedules and hours.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Utilize excellent customer relations skills.
