About The Position

This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position for a Recruiter in Tulsa. The role involves managing the recruitment process, including maintaining applicant tracking systems, attending job fairs, updating job boards, working with hiring managers, screening and interviewing applicants, processing applications, coordinating background checks and drug testing, entering new employee data into HRIS (UKG), assisting with new hire orientation, and ensuring HR files are maintained according to legal requirements and company policies. The position also includes preparing job postings, providing administrative support to the Human Resource Department, sorting and distributing paychecks, compiling payroll information, preparing payroll reports, and backing up other HR staff as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in interviewing required
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years
  • Positive attitude when working with customers
  • Knowledge of employment
  • Must have Microsoft Excel knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in all areas of human resource duties or equivalent education

Responsibilities

  • Maintain applicant tracking system
  • Attend job fairs
  • Update online job boards (Indeed, College job boards, etc.)
  • Work with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
  • Screen and interview applicants using interview guidelines (behavioral based interviewing)
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants
  • Coordinate and schedule background checks and drug testing in the Tulsa area and other areas as needed
  • Enter and make changes for new employees, rehires, and transfers in HRIS (UKG)
  • Assist with coordinating new hire employee orientation
  • Ensure that human resource files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures
  • Prepare job postings for hiring database as well as weekly internal job postings
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resource Department including, but not limited to, distributing mail, filing, faxing, and copying
  • Sort and distribute paychecks
  • Compile and input payroll information into HRIS
  • Prepare payroll reports as needed, direct deposits, address changes, etc.
  • Back up other Human Resource staff as needed
