About The Position

The Corporate Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring items are tagged, priced correctly, and displayed accurately. This role involves coordinating truck schedules with delivery appointments, entering new product information into the Storis system, and placing purchase orders for products based on sales projections. The merchandiser will collaborate with employees across all departments, assist with merchandise-related problems in conjunction with customer service, and work on an organizational level with other departments to ensure customer needs are met. Key duties include answering sales questions about products, prices, and availability, resolving warranty issues with customer service, recommending advertising opportunities based on inventory levels, and inspecting damaged merchandise to make informed decisions on placement. The role also requires attending weekly walkthroughs to determine sales volume of merchandise on the floor, working closely with factory representatives to discuss sales, assisting with periodic inventory counts, and helping to locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs, all while utilizing excellent customer relations.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift merchandise of 20 lbs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Positive attitude when working with customers
  • Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s license with no more than 2 traffic violations or 1 chargeable accident within the past three years.

Responsibilities
