About The Position

The Shop Manager oversees a Take 5 shop and is accountable for the team’s execution of service standards, including oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacements, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. The role emphasizes customer service, team leadership, shop operations, and financial performance. Take 5 provides training in its operating approach and welcomes employees with varied backgrounds and experience levels. The position involves early hours and approximately 55 hours per week. Managers should be adaptive to change, have basic computer skills, and remain alert and aware of their surroundings. The work may involve hot or cold weather and extended periods of walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and handling objects. Managers must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, three-foot-deep pit and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, and onboard employees.
Motivate the team, hold team members accountable, and make personnel decisions.
Check in with customers before they leave to ensure they had a great experience.
Ensure the crew actively provides an excellent customer experience.
Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
Place product orders.
Understand the shop’s financials to drive results and beat budget.
Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
Submit payroll.
Create the crew schedule.
Support technicians with their duties.
