Store Manager Trainee

Farmers Home Furniture•Villa Rica, GA

About The Position

The Store Manager Trainee (SMT) program provides structured training and development for individuals sponsored by the Home Office, with the goal of preparing and placing participants into a permanent Store Manager position after successful program completion. Training combines store operations, online learning, role-based immersion, and in-person live training. Trainees learn and demonstrate proficiency in major areas of store operations while supporting daily functions at assigned training locations. The trainee’s primary responsibility is completing all program requirements. This includes Farmers Academy training, Thrive Program rotations, live training events, projects, assessments, documentation, an initial online orientation with an assigned Supervisor, and weekly online check-in meetings. Trainees also assist with store operations, and may work at multiple locations, manage a store in the Store Manager’s absence, or travel overnight to training locations. Program completion requires completing all Farmers Academy requirements, successfully completing all three Thrive rotations, attending and completing all three in-person live training events, maintaining satisfactory performance and conduct, and demonstrating readiness for Store Manager responsibilities. Completion makes the trainee eligible for placement into a permanent Store Manager position, subject to company needs, performance readiness, and geographic availability. Trainees are expected to uphold and promote the company’s H.O.M.E. values: Helping others, developing Ordinary people to do extraordinary things, being a Motivated owner that cares, and Ensuring that excellence is a habit personally and for those entrusted to them to lead.
