About The Position

The Store Manager Trainee develops the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to move into a future leadership role at Rebel Convenience Stores. The role helps maintain the facilities, equipment, and systems that support store operations while building technical and leadership capabilities through practical work and company training. Training may take place locally and out of the area. The position is hourly during training and pays $19–$22 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces, and work in all weather conditions.
• Availability to be on call for emergencies and to work various shifts.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a Class B UST System Operator Certification; training is provided.

Nice To Haves

• Maintenance, trade (plumbing, electrical, or HVAC), or foodservice background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain store equipment, including pumps and dispensers, HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, and POS systems.
• Gain experience scheduling and prioritizing tasks, reporting on projects, and guiding team members.
• Help ensure stores are safe, clean, and operating smoothly to support the guest experience.
• Work with contractors, vendors, and team members to resolve maintenance issues quickly and cost-effectively.
• Attend company training programs, locally and out of the area, to develop technical and leadership skills for a future management role.
