About The Position
Shoe Carnival is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Store Lead to oversee a store area, such as the Women’s, Men’s, or Children’s department. The role supports store standards, customer service, associate development, and daily operations while offering hands-on leadership experience and the opportunity to grow into a management role. Flexible full-time or part-time hours are available.
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Confidence taking initiative and leading by example.
- Ability to learn and operate the POS system.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs during shifts.
- Comfort with bending, squatting, and reaching for merchandise.
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced store environment.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in retail, sales, or cash handling.
Responsibilities
- Lead a department and support overall store standards.
- Greet and assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Train and guide associates on customer service, product placement, and cash handling.
- Handle transactions, returns, and safe and till counts as needed.
- Organize merchandise and displays, and assist with truck unloading and floor moves.
- Promote current sales and programs.
- Delegate tasks and communicate clearly with the team.
