About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver Brand Promises. The Store Environment Team Member will provide friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping the store and finding products. They will also be responsible for collecting and disposing of trash, dusting and damp mopping floors, and cleaning assigned areas using specified materials and equipment. This may involve mixing cleaning solutions. The role includes deep cleaning key areas like bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The Team Member must maintain cleaning equipment, notify supervisors of supply needs, and proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning. All tasks must be completed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers is crucial, projecting a positive image and serving as a role model. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers in the Rewards program and credit card enrollments, assisting with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS), participating in truck unloads, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is required for compliance.

Requirements

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
Ability to move throughout the store
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop the store and find what they’re looking for.
Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
Deep clean key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience; execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards.
