About The Position

The Store Associate role focuses on maintaining the store's appearance and providing excellent customer service. This includes ensuring the store is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers. Associates assist customers in finding products, handle transactions at checkout, and support various store operations such as online order fulfillment, inventory management, and safety programs. The role requires adherence to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping and finding products.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and high traffic areas.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
Execute Company policies and standards.
