About The Position
The Store Driver picks, stages, and safely delivers parts to professional customers, collects returns and cores, and supports store sales and operations. The role also serves walk-in customers, maintains inventory and store cleanliness, and builds relationships with professional customers while sharing delivery insights with the CPP. The employee must meet the job’s physical demands, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Requirements
- Speak and write English; Spanish is a plus.
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and leadership.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Be able to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Engage customers confidently and promote products.
- Be willing to learn about new products and sales techniques.
- Have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including frequent lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting or moving of up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive parts experience is preferred.
- Spanish language ability is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to professional customers.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Deliver weekly or monthly sales flyers and promote current sales and loyalty programs.
- Collect payments on credit accounts daily.
- Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers and share delivery insights with the CPP.
- Assist with upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
- Stock merchandise, including truck stocking, back stock, and cycle counts.
- Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
- Help walk-in customers identify their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
