About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to provide customer service and support daily store operations. The role includes cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating and displaying merchandise, housekeeping inside and outside the store, maintaining store safety and security, and deli food sales and cooking. Store Clerks may perform all deli duties at smaller locations as described in the deli job description.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and handle customer complaints.
Operate the computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
Remember regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, and detect shoplifters.
Stock shelves and coolers; price, rotate, and display merchandise.
Complete shift work accurately and effectively, clean and maintain all areas of the store, and complete vendor check-in procedures.
Complete the protocol system and drive-off controls, and advise the store manager of situations or policy violations that adversely affect store operating performance.
Maintain housekeeping inside and outside the store, including sweeping the lot, shoveling snow, cleaning gas pumps, and filling water and cleaning-solution buckets on islands.
Keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
Perform deli food sales and cooking, including all deli duties at smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
Carry out other duties assigned by management.
