About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing cleaning tasks throughout the store, while upholding company standards for customer experience, safety, merchandising, organization, and loss prevention. The associate is cross-trained in multiple store areas and supports business needs, including Front End coverage.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards and organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards; participate in store recovery as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
