About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating the scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The role also supports customer experience, front-end coverage, merchandising standards, safety, and loss-prevention controls, and may be cross-trained in other store areas to meet business needs.

The associate communicates effectively with management and colleagues, follows company policies and labor requirements, participates in safety awareness, and performs other duties as assigned. The position is part-time and offers a starting pay range of $16.00 to $16.50 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care.
• Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain store-wide cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor, to support business needs.
• Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
