About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing cleaning tasks throughout the store. Associates also maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards in areas such as the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.

The associate follows company operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards; supports customer experience practices; and helps meet front-end coverage and other business needs. The role is cross-trained across multiple store areas and requires flexibility, communication, attention to detail, and physical stamina. Retail customer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
• Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
